Yes that is what they say end of the world! The travel here went with no drama, met interesting people and I slept some. I left at 8 in the morning of the 11th November from Ventura and came to Ushuaia 2.30 local time the next day. Got to the Ushuaia hotel and checked in. Nice hotel with panoramic views.

From my room I can see both water and snow covered mountains. My body wanted to relax so I took a bath with lavender oil and contemplated my wonderful life! Rested I left for a walk. The hotel is located high up and the walk is down down down, lots of stairs and a feeling of being in back in Monaco, although somewhat more rustic! The buildings are very cute and original or very how can I say it without being rude, not taken cared off, maybe.

On my walk down to the main drag, I asked a young fellow where I could find an internet cafe, him not able to speak English and me not able to speak Spanish we played charades and had a good time doing that and then he showed me where to go! I could not post anything yesterday could not get into my account, silly me forgot my log in! Today though I got it and here you go , a little longer description about my adventures.

I am amazed how good I can handle this not being able to communicate as much as I want. It is a great lesson for me to practice being open although I am not always understood. Had dinner down town, fish of course and it was great. Walked back up up up up !

My Tee time is at 11. I had a taxi come to pick me up. It is raining, not just a little…a lot. However I am prepared.

The cab driver is great, in between us we can understand some and he likes to play golf too. The drive is about 10 minutes and it is still raining, well it then started to snow! Extreme it is.

I see a flag and a green and there it is Ushuaia golf course the most souther golf course in the world. I am exited!.

There are no cars, no human in sight….my mind goes back to North Cape where there where no person either, here though I had a confirmed tee time. The cab driver, Richard stays with me and we walk around and he took a couple of pictures of me.

No one to be found…

Then he says he can play with me in the afternoon. I gratefully say ‘thankyou’ . In my mind I pray that someone will be there then in the afternoon so I can rent the clubs they promised, since I left mine at home due to the quick trip down.

I am now at the internet cafe and it is 1 in the afternoon. You will get the report tomorrow!

I love the adventures and the not knowing that is exiting!

the saga continues…

Ushuaia Golf Club is the most southerly golf course in the world! A short and difficult 9-hole
Links course in the uttermost southern position, latitude 54 south. Here on the
Argentinean part of Tierra del Fuego lies a charming but windy course, close to
glaciers poring into the Beagle Canal.

Have you played it? Please share some tips, tricks, or anything you may know in the comment section…
