Yes, I have now officially started. After an early flight from Arlanda, thank-you brother Per for taking me to the airport,and 4 hours lay over in Oslo,I landed in Laksel

The rental car awaited me and off I went. To wear? Lakselv is a very small town about 2.300 people.I found my hotel, checked in and the rain started. I am prepared though with rain gear and a borrowed winter hat.The temperature was not bad ,it is around 15c. I am exited  so to heck with the rain I want to play.

Began to drive after a description from the hotel guy where the golf course was located, well the temperature gauge on the car started to shine and it said STOP,had to go back called the rental guy and he said nothing to worry about it is just an electrical error! you can drive at least 40 miles(Swedish).

Somewhat relaxed I drove on a small  narrow road very close to my hotel as I later found out when I drove from the course! and found the course, well hidden within fields and bushes and some trees.

No person at the sight. It is now about 5 o’clock,and the sun came out! Ok I thought I can practice some and walk around. This is a very how can I  say it, interesting experience.The course has six holes and yes one can see where the greens are, however you would benefit to chip on the green too. I managed to have a nine on a hole!  There are much to explore on the course all kind of vegetation’s and AND MOSQUITOES not many there where MILLIONS of them.

The owner of the golf club lived right there so I knocked the door and asked him if he would like to play since i needed some one with me. I am not a golfer he said, however I will call someone. A short while after that Asbjorn Hanssen showed up. He is a member and a passionate golfer. He proudly told me that they are building a new course just by the airport so this course will just exist 2 more years.

Witch means that the original Awesome Eight Golf Challenge will soon be very exclusive! Asbjorn and I had a great time in-spite of the mosquitoes and we played the course 3 times ,took pictures and signed the card with both name and a stamp. I got a golf ball with the logo North Cape Golf Course and the first course is now done. Hurrah I really have started!

Midnightsun meditation

The midnight-sun is now a fact. It is really very light, one can read a book without any extra lighting. I was visiting my cousin Nicki and her family in Abisko. Way north of the polar circle. How wonderful this  family took care of my son Carl and myself. We hiked and we explored caves. All very exiting and beautiful .

I recommend you all to travel to Abisko and to the the hotel there, you will sure have a wonderful time and the food is super and organic, thanks to my cousin s consciousness .Visiting  an environment that is so magnificent and so untouched by humans, I mean the mountains and the rivers and the lakes, does wonders for ones soul. For me I got lots of training in for my travel, for my body, mind, and my spirit. I get more and more prepared for my adventure.

I have been writing  alittle about my life here in Sweden, not at all related to the awesome eight challenge in a way, however it is because I would not be able to do this if i did not rent my house out in Ventura, Ca to finance some of my travel.So where to go if not to home land and visit with my generous mother and siblings and friends.

 It has been a long start up and I have been taking care of  me by doing my powerwalks and yoga in the morning. Practicing some golf and in between enjoying and playing with my family and friends. It is strange not having my house and my regular schedule, I miss my clients (yoga ).I know they are taking care of them selves and I am exited to start with them when I am coming home. I wish all of my American friends a happy 4th of July, I will drink to freedom and peace!
